Terms of service

You message me with what you need. I send you a price or an estimate and a date. The job is booked when I confirm the date in writing (SMS, WhatsApp or e-mail).

If on site the job turns out much longer or more expensive than estimated, I tell you first and continue only with your consent.

The prices on the prices page on the day of booking apply. The price consists of a minimum based on the Prague zone (call-out and first hour of work: from 1,500 CZK in zone 1, from 2,000 CZK in zone 2) and the work itself. Jobs priced per item are added up, and if the total is lower than the zone minimum, the minimum applies. Travel is always included. Surcharges (Saturday and Sunday, express) are on the prices page.

All prices are final. Payment: bank transfer (QR code on the invoice). You get an invoice for every job, in English or Czech.

You can cancel or move a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before. Later cancellation costs 500 CZK. If I cannot keep the date, I tell you as soon as possible and we agree a new one.

You supply the material, or I buy it after we agree and charge it at cost with the receipt. I am not responsible for defects in material you supply, but I tell you if I notice them during the work.

I am liable for defects in my work under the Czech Civil Code. If you are a consumer, you can claim defects within 24 months of handover.

Send a complaint to hello@english-handyman.cz or on WhatsApp, ideally with a photo. I handle it without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days.

I work carefully and I am liable for damage I cause during the work under the Czech Civil Code. These terms do not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you are a consumer and booked the service at a distance (website, WhatsApp or e-mail), you can withdraw within 14 days of the contract.

If I start work within this period at your express request, you pay a proportionate part of the price for work already done. Once the work is fully done with your consent, the right of withdrawal ends.

I first try to solve any dispute directly with you. Consumers can also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority for out-of-court resolution: coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr.

These terms apply from 6 November 2026. In case of doubt, the Czech version prevails.
