About me

I am a civil engineer from Prague. I do repairs and assembly for expats, landlords and Airbnb hosts, and I speak fluent English.

Why I work as a handyman

„I give advice, plan the work and then do it myself.“

Small jobs in a flat are easy to arrange in your own language. In a new country they can be stressful: you need to find someone, explain the problem and understand the price. I offer this work in English, with clear prices on the website.

My background is construction. I have spent years managing technical and construction projects, including the construction of a data centre with its cooling system. I use this knowledge for smaller jobs.

How I work

  • I confirm the date in writing.
  • You know the price before I start. For jobs charged by time, I send an estimate based on a photo. All prices are on the prices page.
  • I clean up after the job.
  • You get an invoice in English, or in Czech if you need it.
  • If a job needs a specialist or a large renovation, I tell you and help you find the right company.

Tools and guarantee

I bring my own tools, including a drill for hard concrete and brick walls. Many Prague flats have concrete walls, and the right drill and wall plugs matter for a TV bracket or a kitchen unit.

I use diamond and core drill bits, so I can drill into tiles and porcelain stoneware without cracking them, and a professional Kärcher Puzzi 8/1 upholstery cleaner. I hold an electrical qualification, so I connect lights and sockets myself. Drilling comes with a guarantee, and I clean and vacuum after the job.

English

English at C2 level, also for technical topics. Czech is my native language.

I can explain a technical problem in clear English, without a translator.
